What is the Bee Pollen?
Bee pollen is the male seed of a flower blossom which has been gathered by the bees and to which special elements from the bees has been added. One pollen granule contains from one hundred thousand to five million pollen spores each capable of reproducing its entire species. Bee pollen's ability to consistently and noticeably increase energy levels makes it a favorite substance among many world class athletes and those interested in sustaining and enhancing quality performance. Bee pollen is approximately 25% complete protein containing at least 18 amino acids. In addition, bee pollen provides more than a dozen vitamins, 28 minerals, 11 enzymes or co-enzymes, 14 beneficial fatty acids, 11 carbohydrates, and is rich in minerals, the full spectrum of vitamins, and hormones. It is low in calories.
Bee pollen significantly reduced the usual side-effects of both radium and cobalt-60 radiotherapy
Several nutrients in bee pollen, such as proteins, beneficial fats, vitamins B, C, D, E, and beta-carotene, calcium, magnesium, selenium, nucleic acids, lecithin, and cysteine, are scientifically well documented for their ability to strengthen immunity, counteract the effects of radiation and chemical toxins (which are the two most severe stress producers to our immune system), and generate optimal health and vitality.
Bee pollen improves fertility. It can reduce cholesterol levels. Bee pollen improved the condition of men with prostatitis. It produced therapeutic benefits in patients with glycohaemia (abnormal amount of blood sugar), low hemoglobin, and bleeding ulcers.
For preventive purposes, a common initial adult
dosage of bee pollen granules is initially 1/2 teaspoon once per day. The
dosage is gradually increased to 2 teas spoons per day. A short term, therapeutic
amount of bee pollen is about three times the preventive amount.
What is the Bee Propolis?
One of the most well-documented products from the honey bee, propolis or "Russian Penicillin" is known as a powerful, all-natural anti-biotic.
This sticky, brown resinous substance is collected by honeybees from various plants and mixed with wax. Used to sterilize their home against infection, bees also use propolis as a multi-purpose cement and varnish. Propolis contains approximately 55% resins & balms, 30% wax, 10% etheric oils and 5% pollen. Rich in amino acids and trace elements, it also has a high vitamin content, including the valuable bioflavanoids, Vitamin K. Its these basic ingredients that give propolis its dynamic bacteria-destroying power.
It is believed that Hippocrates, the father of medicine, prescribed the use of propolis to help heal sores and ulcers, internally and externally. Unlike penicillin or other drugs, propolis is always effective, because bacteria and viruses cannot build tolerances against it. This has been clinically verified after its use in more than 16,000 situations by Danish scientist, Dr. K. Lund Aagaard. It stimulates, strengthens and rejuvenates the immune system, which is the body's defense system against disease, cellular destruction and aging. It is recommended for: respiratory ailments, shingles, elevated blood fat levels, periodontal disease, arthritis, acne, burns and cuts, hypertension, circulatory problems, irregular menses, broken bones, infections, improper healing, allergies, prostate disease, ulcers.
